Mementi (genetically altered humans) Genesis Lee can remember everything. The Link bracelets provide and archive memories of the Mementi. Jealousy and fear has caused humans to rebel and threaten Mementis' existence. So when the community find six Mementi with lost memories, havoc and fear of the unknown spread into panic and chaos. Soon its up to Genesis Lee and Kalan (a boy who claims to know her) find the person responsible. Unaware she knows who that person is.

I saw this book on Goodreads and as soon as I read the synopsis I knew I had to get my hands on a copy. I was lucky enough to receive an e-ARC from edelweiss with thanks to Sky Pony Press. Going into this I had high hopes. Upon finishing my reaction is just meh. This isnt great but this isnt bad.

I was expecting less romance and more action. I am not a mystery type reader but I gave this one a go because of the futuristic atmosphere. But really the world building wasn't very futuristic because the romance was the core drama which mostly felt forced and the pacing really slowed within the first half. It was difficult to continue. However, I have to admit the ending was twisted and I did not see it coming. The only reason I was able to finish this book was because it had me guessing and I really wanted to know who did it. Ultimately the tension leading up to the build up was satisfying and made up for the sappy romance.

    1. Definitely keep me posted! I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I think the concept is really cool, the book didn't play out the way I hoped. I hope you enjoy this more than I did though!
