Iskida is a very strong minded independent sorcerer known as a Dream-Walker. She has the ability to travel into dreams so she can save the beings she loves and to prevent war.
The Amulet of Sleep is a middle grade fantasy filled with beautiful illustrations and a strong heroine to depend on. This book didn't quite meet my expectations, but the illustrations made it worth the read. The translation needs a little work but overall, I was engrossed in the story and finished it in one sitting.
This book is very diverse and handles topics like bullying and such very well. Iskida is made fun of by several boys and she stands up for herself and defends herself and the ones she loves from the bullys around her.
I would definitely recommend this as a fantasy novel for any age group.
