Sia and the rest of her sector have only fifteen more days to live. There's no way out because each sector is heavily guarded with cyborg armies and steel walled fences. People are killed on the spot if they disobey orders. And intelligent people are taken to work and live in the New World. Determined to live the rest of her days without fear, she meets Mace and together they join a group of rebels to stop the slaughtering of innocent community sectors.

I would consider Dark Days to be a Middle Grade book instead of Young Adult. The writing is juvenile and simplistic. The pacing was fast and there were a couple things that took me by surprise but overall this was extremely predictable. I honestly would not recommend this to my friends but maybe to my younger cousins. This kinda had an Elysium ring to it. The book contains suicide and murder.

A Little Something Different

 I didn't hear about this book until early August which is weird because I'm on Goodreads all the time. But after glancing over the synopsis, I knew I had to read it. I was able to trade for it through YABE. I finished this in one sitting because

A.) I really enjoyed it and 

B.) it was too short!

A Little Something Different is told in multiple points of views including a squirrel and bench. Within the points of views we slowly see two people start to fall for one another but are helpless at any type of relationship. Its easy to see from the point of views that they are meant to be together but its never that easy. This was a very cute, fast, short read.  There were funny references, there were pull your hair out moments and roll your eyes scenarios galore. But this was so cute and I do recommend it.

Top Five Underrated Books in Standalone

With the exception of The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton I have read all of these books in one sitting. I would highly recommend most of these.

The Unquiet
Jeannine Garsee

This author lives a half hour from me but I have never met her. I picked up her book on release day with really low expectations because I'm not a huge fan of ghosts so color me surprised when I couldnt even set this down. The book takes place in Cleveland and the OHIO references are LOL funny. I was laughing so hard my parents were concerned. This is mystery driven and very predictable but the mc's journey is truly delightful.

Revived
Cat Patrick

This was my first read from author Cat Patrick. After finishing and loving the crap out this book I went out of my way to read this author's other work including Forgotten, The Originals, and Just Like Fate. I didnt enjoy her other work as much as I did with Revived.

Flawed
Kate Avelynn

I read this having a completely different synopsis in mind. As I was reading I was like "Whoa Whoa WHOA there! WTF and I reading" but I couldnt put it down. I stayed up all night reading this one. I wouldnt recommend this to everyone but recommend it if you enjoyed Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma.

This book was pure fun. I knew going into this that I would love it and I wasnt wrong. This was suppose to be a trilogy but the author died of cancer. I would love to own a copy of this because it is rereading material.

Auracle
Gina Rosati

I enjoyed the romance of this book and found it very believable. The plot was paced well and the cover is cute.

I love anything about aliens. The cover is stunning and the synopsis was intriguing. I bought this on release date and read it on release day. I did the same for the sequel and I'm happy to inform it does does not suffer from Second Book Syndrome. I am looking forward to the third!

Maid for Me

This book was free on Amazon and although the cover isnt the best, the synopsis was interesting and plus I have a thing for freebies on Amazon Kindle. I read this and adored it to pieces. I bought the second and last book the next day. This is a self published novel.

This was the only book available to read at my library so I gave it a go. By the end I was pissed I read so soon because I had to wait for the second book to find out what happens. Huge cliff hanger and a seven month wait was too much. I recommend everyone read this now that the second one is out and be sure to have it handy. The subject matter is one of my favorite.

This book actually took me a year to finish. At the time I hated this book. But looking back I still to this day can remember the plot. The writing is fabulous and I actually miss the characters. This is a series of four, I only own the first two.

Vesper
Jeff Sampson

I dont like mysteries and knew going into this it was. I didnt realize this was a paranormal read. This is a trilogy and I have read them. The second book did suffer from Second Book Syndrome but the third made up for it and I am sad to see this come to an end. I'm curious to see what else this author has in mind for YA readers. I will definitely check them out.

That's a tricky question. I own over 2,500 ebooks on my kindle. Most of them were freebies. And over 900 physical books. I have already read 230 of the physical books. But I would like to read all of my physical books before my ebooks.

It began with a boy who survived a plane crash in the wilderness.

I discovered my love of writing during a fifth grade writing assignment for Hatchet. After that, I knew I wanted to be a writer.

Always the hopeless romantic, I write late Victorian and Edwardian historical romances as well as contemporary New Adult romances.

I am a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), as well as the New Hampshire chapter (NHRWA) and the New England chapter (NECRWA). I contribute regularly to the Modern Belles of History blog, a site dedicated to writing, reading, and researching 20th century women’s historical fiction.

When I’m not writing, I’m most likely reading or daydreaming about my next travel adventure. I live in New Hampshire with my husband and our cat, Bella.

Top Ten Book Characters That Would Be Sitting At My Lunch Table

This MC would be great at story telling. I'd laugh so hard and swoon even more on her so called troll husband.

I have so many similarities with this girl, I just know we would hit it off. I too am Korean. Her boy crushes are swoon worthy.

She's funny and knows how to throw a punch and kick. Her boss is gorgeous. My life would be less depressing without her at my table but her everyday encounters are worth it.

Lets face it, these boys would never be at my table. But one could dream, right? They'd be in the middle and all the girls would be staring. 

I need someone who understands me. I cant be the only one at my table single.

We both traveled and she landed a boyfriend by the time she got back. I'd probably be jealous and eventually stop listening her esp since they met on my birthday and he's pretty handsome. We all need some form of cat fight at our table.

Emily the shy girl by day and the wild girl at night. You wouldnt expect it but she throws crazy parties!

I know a lot of Amish so I wouldnt be surprised if they asked to spend their rumspringa with me

She's time traveled and met the boy of her dreams. Who wouldnt want to question her insanity? 

I would love to be friends with Leonard Peacock.

I would be their therapist listening to everyone's story. It would be the best job ever. Let me know what you think?
